What does the Ford Corrosion Warranty cover?
The Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to defects in factory-supplied materials or workmanship. Warranty coverage will vary based on the material used and if there is perforation (holes).
Corrosion warranty coverage includes:
- Body sheet metal corrosion damage without perforation, which is covered by the Garantía Limitada (V. Nuevos) of 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
- Rust damage on body panels resulting in perforation, which is covered for 5 years/unlimited miles.
- Corrosion damage on aluminum panels, which is covered for 5 years/unlimited miles with no requirement for perforation.
If you have a corrosion-related concern, your Concesionario Ford can determine if it is covered under warranty.
Notas:
- The corrosion warranty coverage does not apply if the damage is the result of abnormal usage or extreme environmental conditions.
- Rust caused by exposed sheet metal from accidents or normal wear and tear are not defects in material or workmanship.
- The paint on the vehicle is covered under the terms of the Garantía Limitada (V. Nuevos).
