How do I remove my Phone As A Key™* using FordPass®**?

You can delete your Phone As A Key using FordPass or via your vehicle's SYNC®† screen. Use the steps below for more information. 

Importante: 

  • Deleting a Phone As A Key device also deletes any Backup Start Passcodes associated with it. 

    Note: Deleting or resetting the Backup Start Passcode does not impact the Phone As A Key setup. 

  • You can only delete keys associated with your FordPass account.
  • If your device is lost or stolen, contact a Guide for key removal assistance. 

Removing Phone As A Key

Select your FordPass App experience below for steps on how to delete your Phone As A Key. 

FordPass App 4.X Experience

To remove your key using FordPass:

  1. Ingresa a la Aplicación FordPass.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Scroll down and select the Phone As A Key.
  4. Tap Edit. 

  5. Select the Trash icon next to the device you want to remove.

    Note: Select the How do I remove keys? link for information on how to remove all keys.

  6. Enter your username and password. 
  7. Select Remove Key. 

Your key will now be removed. 

Note: You can also select the Key Controls > Manage Keys path to remove devices within FordPass. 

FordPass App 5.X Experience

To remove your key using FordPass:

  1. Ingresa a la Aplicación FordPass.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Scroll down and select the Vehicle Settings.
  4. Tap Phone as a Key. 
  5. Select the Delete next to the device you want to remove.
  6. Tap Delete on the pop-up message. 

Once done, the device key list will no longer display the deleted key.  When the deletion is successful, the user will receive a confirmation email.

Deleting Keys via SYNC

To remove a key using SYNC, complete a Phone As A Key Reset using the steps below:

  1. Safely enter your vehicle.
  2. Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated safe area.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Selecciona General.
  5. Scroll down and select Reset.
  6. Tap FordPass Connect Reset.
  7. Select Phone As A Key Reset. 
  8. Tap Continue.

All Phone As A Key devices will be removed.
