What is Ford Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®*) with Cross-Traffic Alert?

BLIS con Alerta de Tráfico Cruzado puede ayudarte a cambiar de carril o salir de un estacionamiento con confianza. BLIS puede advertirte cuando un vehículo ingresa a la zona de punto ciego. La Alerta de Tráfico Cruzado te advierte sobre los vehículos que se acercan desde ambos lados cuando el vehículo está en Reversa (R), por ejemplo, cómo salir de un estacionamiento o entrada de casa lento.

How BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert Works

BLIS uses radar sensors on both sides near the rear of the vehicle. When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, you are alerted with an indicator light in the side view mirror. 

The Cross-Traffic Alert feature also uses this radar to help detect traffic behind your vehicle when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. When it detects a vehicle approaching from either side, it flashes an indicator light in the side view mirrors (same as BLIS) and emits an audible warning.
