How do I check the tire pressure in my Ford?

Puedes revisar la presión de los neumáticos con facilidad con un medidor de presión de neumático tipo varilla  digital o manual estándar.  

A digital gauge will provide the air pressure on the screen, and a standard gauge will indicate the tire pressure in units that are etched on a bar that pushes out from the bottom of the gauge.

To find your tire pressure:

1. Remove the tire valve cap from the valve stem.
2. Place the tire pressure gauge on top of the tire valve stem, pressing down until you no longer hear the sound of air hissing out of the tire. This indicates that the tire gauge is engaged. 

Note: If your vehicle is equipped with FordPass^® Connect^*, you can also check your tire pressure using the FordPass^® App^**.

Frequency for Checking Tire Pressure

You should check your tire pressure every month, especially as the temperature changes. Tires should be inflated to the pressure per square inch (PSI) rating listed on the driver's side door frame. Ideally, you should check your tires when the tires are cold, meaning when your vehicle has not been driven for at least 3 hours because warm tires can have extra pressure.

You should check your tires if the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light comes on, you hit a pothole, or notice increased vibration or reduced traction, braking, or handling.
