How do I charge my electric vehicle at Ford Charge DC Fast Chargers?

To pay for your charging session:

1. Locate the letter that corresponds to the connector you want to use (A or B) on the front of the charger.
2. Connect your vehicle to the charger.
   
   Important: Never use a connector that appears damaged.
    
3. Insert, tap, or swipe your credit/debit card or tap your mobile wallet on the card reader to activate your payment method.

Your charging session should begin automatically once your payment is authorized. To view your charging progress, tap the session that corresponds to the connector you are using (A or B). 

Notas: 

• Contactless payments must be made on the credit card reader and not on the RFID touch zone.
• To obtain a receipt for credit or debit card transactions, visit fordcharge.cc/receipt.

Ford electric vehicle (EV) drivers can use their BlueOval Charge Network account to activate and pay with Ford Charge. 

Note: Non-Ford EV drivers can pay using their credit or debit card, or the Shell App.

   • El App Store^®†† for iOS^®‡ devices.
2. Locate the name of the charger you want to use. Look for the "Hello, my name is..." label. 
3. Locate the letter that corresponds to the connector you want to use (A or B) on the front of the charger.
4. Tap Activate on the corresponding charger in FordPass or the Public Charging App. 

5. Connect your vehicle to the charger after you receive confirmation of activation.

   Important: Never use a connector that appears damaged.

Your charging session should begin momentarily.

All electric vehicle (EV) drivers can use a Shell account to activate and pay with Ford Charge. To pay for your charge:

1. Open the Shell App on your smartphone. The Shell App is available on:
   • Google Play^™** for Android^™† devices.
   • The App Store^®†† for iOS^®‡ devices.
2. Locate the name of the charger you want to use. Look for the "Hello, my name is..." label. 
3. Locate the letter that corresponds to the connector you want to use (A or B) on the front of the charger.

4. Follow the instructions provided in the Shell App to begin charging.

   Important: Never use a connector that appears damaged.

Your charging session should begin momentarily.

To stop a charge session using the charge station's touchscreen:

1. Select the connector your vehicle is plugged into (A or B) to bring up the Charging Session screen.
2. Tap the red Stop Charging button.

Once the screen indicates that charging has stopped, you can remove the connector from your vehicle.

Yes, Ford Charge DC Fast Chargers are capable of charging two vehicles at the same time.

Note: When two vehicles are using the charger at the same time, power is shared equally between them.

Prices for charging is independently set by each Concesionario Ford, not by Ford.

Fast charging speeds are determined by many factors:

• Your EV's ability to accept power, including:
  • State of charge
  • Battery temperature
  • Other factors
• The power limit of the charger.
• The current limits of the charging cable.

Charging can only occur at the slowest speed based on the above factors. 

Charging power is defined in kilowatts (kW), or 1,000 Watts and is the product of two variables: 

• EV battery voltage (V).
• The charging current being provided to your vehicle, measured in Amps (A).

You can determine the charging power your vehicle is receiving by using the following equation: Watts = Volts x Amps

Note: To view your vehicle’s battery voltage while charging, check the charge session details screen on the DC Fast Charger.

Ford Charge DC Fast Chargers:

• Come in one of two power output levels: 120 kW or 240 kW.
• Are equipped with 300 Amp cables.
• Can split charging power equally to two vehicles at the same time.
