Tipos de Sistemas de Carga: Carga de Nivel 1, Nivel 2 y Rápida de CC

What are the types of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers?

Ford offers a few EV charging options. They are referred to as Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (also known as DC Fast Charging).

Nivel 1

  1. Provides charging through a 120V AC plug.
  2. Does not require the installation of additional charging equipment.
  3. Can deliver 2 to 5 miles of range per hour of charging*.
  4. Most often found at home, but sometimes used at workplaces.

Nivel 2

  1. Provides charging through a 240V residential AC plug, or a 208V AC commercial plug.
  2. Requires installation of additional charging equipment, such as a Ford Connected Charge Station.
  3. Can deliver 10 to 20 miles of range per hour of charging*.
  4. Can be found at home, workplaces, and public charging.

Level 3 or DC Fast Charging

  1. Provides charging through a 480V AC plug.
  2. Requires highly specialized, high-powered equipment, as well as special equipment on the vehicle.
  3. Can deliver 60 to 80 miles of range in 20 minutes of charging*.
  4. Most often found at public charging stations.

What is the BlueOval™ Charge Network?

*Range and Charge time are based on manufacturer computer engineering simulations. The Charging rate, when charging using DC chargers, decreases as battery reaches full capacity. The results may also vary based on peak charging times and battery state-of-charge (SoC). In addition, actual vehicle range varies with conditions such as external elements, driving behaviours, vehicle maintenance, lithium-ion battery age and state of health.
