Can I skip part of my Ford Energy Rewards charging schedule?
Yes. You can override or skip a Ford Energy Rewards charge event with the FordPass®* App or via text message, if your utility provider supports messaging.
Skipping Charging Events
Select the dropdowns below to learn the different ways you can override your Ford Energy Rewards charge schedule:
Using Text Messaging
If your utility provider updates you with text messages, you can choose to skip the upcoming part of your charge schedule by replying, "IGNORE."
They will send a text to confirm that the upcoming charge event will be skipped.
Using FordPass(All-Electric Vehicles)
To override an event in your charging schedule:
- Go to the Vehicle screen. Your vehicle will display "Waiting to Charge at..."
- Tap Start to override the Ford Energy Rewards schedule.
Your vehicle should begin charging in a few moments.
Using FordPass [Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV)]
To override an event in your PHEV's charging schedule:
- Go to the Energy screen and scroll to the "Schedule" section.
- Tap Preferred Charge Times.
- Find the location where your vehicle is enrolled in Ford Energy Rewards.
- Select Anytime.
Your Ford Energy Rewards schedule will stay paused until you change your Preferred Time settings back to the schedule your utility provider recommended.
