2021—2024 Bronco® Sport SUVs and 2022—2023 Maverick® Trucks — Loss of Power Recall

Electronic key fob for a Ford vehicle

Recall Reference Number: 24S24

Building vehicles you can count on is our most important job, which is why Ford has issued a safety recall for certain 2021–2024 model year Bronco Sport SUVs and 2022-2023 model year Maverick Trucks.

The current software for the Body Control Module and Powertrain Control Module is unable to detect - and thus compensate for - the decreasing performance in the life of a 12-volt battery. This could result in the vehicle unable to restart while using the Auto Start-Stop Technology or stalling while coming to a stop at low speeds. This is accompanied by a loss of 12-volt accessories like lights, radio, air conditioning etc.

To have the software recalibrated, please take your Bronco Sport SUV or Maverick truck to a Ford Dealership or Lincoln Retailer. To see if your vehicle is included, enter your VIN here.

Puedes book an appointment online, in your FordPass® App, or contacta con tu Concesionario Ford local. For your convenience, a mobile technician may be available to inspect and service your vehicle where you are.

For questions or concerns about this safety recall, please call us at 1-866-436-7332. A Ford Recall team member will be happy to assist you.

As always, thank you for being a Ford Owner.
