22S77: Bronco (2021) Side Crash Sensors Recall

Some side impact sensors may have been improperly installed at our manufacturing facility, which could cause the affected airbags to unintentionally deploy or not deploy when intended.

Manufacturing facility personnel identified certain vehicles that required secondary checks for an improper side impact sensor installation. While the issue was properly detected, inspection and repair instructions may have been misunderstood and the side impact sensor mounting assembly may not have been inspected or repaired.

Owners will be notified by mail and asked to take their vehicle to a Ford Dealer or Lincoln Retailer to have the side impact sensor attachments inspected and repaired.

Dealers were notified on December 15, 2022.

Letters will begin mailing to customers on January 23, 2023.
