You can open and close the Split Gate from your touchscreen, the buttons located on your Split Gate, and even your key fob. Check your Owner’s Manual for details on controls and how to configure settings.

Tailgate On

A tailgate engineered to support up to 500 lbs. and the newly available Cargo Tailgate Manager make the 2025 Expedition SUV the life of the party. The multipurpose manager acts as a second shelf, table, and backrest to meet all your tailgate needs.

Use the Cargo Tailgate Manager as a shelf:

1. Lift the cargo floor to access your Cargo Tailgate Manager panel.
2. Remove the panel and set it on the retractable hooks located on the side panels of the cargo area.
3. Make sure that your shelf is secure.
4. You can now use it as another level of storage.

Turn the Cargo Tailgate Manager into a table:

1. Rotate the panel up towards the tailgate from the shelf position.
2. Before flipping the panel all the way over, extend the legs.
3. Bring the table into a standing position.

Turn the Cargo Tailgate Manager into a backrest:

1. Lift up on the table slightly and retract the legs.
2. Guide the front edge of the panel toward the cargo floor.
3. Secure the panel and you now have a backrest.

Total Console Flex

With the press of a button, you can easily slide the available Flex Powered Console back nearly eight inches, opening a secure place in front to store a bag, purse, or other valuables, and give your second-row passengers easier access to a console with audio and climate controls and cupholders.
