How to program your Integrated Keyhead Transmitter

Your key’s integrated keyhead transmitter is a keyless entry device that helps operate the locks and start the vehicle.

You may want to program a new or spare integrated keyhead transmitter yourself. If so, the following instructions will walk you through the process.

Programming the integrated keyhead transmitter only takes a few minutes. And if you have any questions, your local Ford Dealership will be happy to answer them.

1. Insert the first previously programmed coded key into the ignition.
2. Turn the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition off and remove the first coded key from the ignition.
4. After three seconds, but within ten seconds of turning off the ignition, insert the second previously coded key.
5. Turn the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.
6. Turn the ignition off and remove the second previously programmed coded key.
7. After three seconds, but within 20 seconds of turning the ignition off and removing the previously coded key, insert the new unprogrammed key.
8. Turn the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least six seconds.
9. Remove the newly programmed coded key.
10. If the new integrated keyhead transmitter key has been successfully programmed, it will start the vehicle’s engine and operate the Remote Keyless Entry System.

If programming was not successful, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 9. If you are still unsuccessful, take your vehicle to your authorized Dealer.
