How do I add a vehicle to FordPass®*?

You can add your vehicle(s) to FordPass using the Home or Account screens. Doing so allows you to access features specific to your vehicle model, trim, and year. 

Notas: 

  • Before you can access the FordPass App, you have to add a vehicle to your account first. 
  • If you want to add another user to access your vehicle, visit Authorize Another User for the proper steps.

Adding a Vehicle to FordPass

Select one of the options below for next steps. 

First Time Adding a Vehicle

To add your first vehicle to FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Press Add My Vehicle
  3. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
    • Type in your VIN manually.
    • Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.

      Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.

  4. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear on the Home screen. 

Adding Additional Vehicles

To add another vehicle to FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Navigate to the Home screen. 
  3. Selecciona drop-down arrow to the right of your vehicle name.
  4. Tap Add Vehicle

    Note: You can also add a vehicle on the Account tab by selecting the + next to the My Vehicles section. 

  5. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
    • Type in your VIN manually.
    • Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.

      Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.

  6. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the drop-down menu on the Home screen.

  • If you experience any issues, visit Unable to Add VIN for troubleshooting support.
  • If the troubleshooting steps are unsuccessful, select Account > Help for additional assistance.
