How do I add a destination with SYNC Navigation?

You can search for or input a destination using the SYNC®* touchscreen or voice commands.

Setting a Destination with SYNC Navigation

Important: Your vehicle must be parked, running, and in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.

  1. Press the Search bar at the top of the SYNC map screen.
  2. Enter your destination using the keyboard.
  3. Select your destination from the list.
  4. Tap Start to begin navigation.

Usar Comandos de Voz

  1. Press the Voice Command button on your steering wheel.
  2. Tell SYNC where you want to go.
  3. Follow the directions SYNC gives you by viewing the touchscreen map or a detailed turn-by-turn set of directions. Learn more by reviewing the How do I use SYNC voice commands? article.

Using the Touchscreen

  1. Press the Destination icon at the bottom of your vehicle's touchscreen.
  2. Enter a specific address or select from the destination category list. 
  3. Tap and hold your finger on the map. A viewfinder will appear.
  4. Mueve la pantalla táctil para posicionar tu ubicación deseada en el visor. 

    Note: The touchscreen allows you to interact with the map by using convenient swiping, zooming, and pinching gestures, similar to those used with your smartphone.
     
  5. Press the Start button to select the desired location.
  6. Tap Set as New Destination.

Notas: 

  • When you are on an active route, the SYNC Navigation map shows your estimated time of arrival, remaining travel time, and distance to your destination.
  • SYNC 3 provides an automatic re-route if traffic conditions change to cause a major delay on the originally selected route.
  • Minor traffic changes will not provide a re-route. This feature requires an active SiriusXM®** Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link subscription.

SYNC con MyFord Touch®

  1. Press the green Navigation bar on your SYNC screen.
  2. Press the Dest physical button.
  3. Choose a destination entry method.

Notas:

  • Destinations can also be set using voice commands.
  • When the vehicle is in motion, some choices are grayed out.

SYNC con Navegación Activada por Voz

SYNC Next-Generation Navigation

  1. Press the Dest physical button.
  2.  Press Standard on the screen.
  3. Choose a destination entry method.

SYNC Navigation "P" Version

  1. Press the Dest physical button.
  2. Choose a destination entry method.

Note: When the vehicle is in motion, some choices are grayed out.
