Why does the Ford app say my Vehicle Identification Number is already associated with my account?

This message appears if the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) you are trying to add is already added to your account with a different nickname. If you need additional support, contact Ford app support by selecting Account > Help in the Ford app.
