How to correct a "Pairing failed" message for Phone As A Key?

You can manually adjust your Bluetooth®, delete existing Phone As A Key™^* devices, or perform a reset to fix a "Pairing failed" message in the Ford app^**.

1. Start your vehicle in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.
2. Toggle your mobile device's Bluetooth® off/on and attempt to set up the Phone As A Key again. 
   
   Note: If your issue is resolved, do not continue with the remaining steps. 
    
3. Delete any keys installed on your phone attempting to pair, and attempt to set up Phone As A Key again.
   
   Note: If your issue is resolved, do not continue with the remaining steps. 
    
4. Perform a Phone As A Key reset and attempt to set up Phone As A Key again.

If you continue to receive the error message, contact Ford app support for additional assistance.
