Getting the Most Out of Home Charging

Learn about potential rewards and cost savings by charging your electric Ford vehicle at home.

Can I save money on home charging by setting a preferred charge time?

Many utility providers offer rate plans with pricing that varies by time of day. Preferred charge times can help you maximize your savings by scheduling as much of your charging outside peak pricing as possible.

Contact your local utility to see if off-peak rate plans are available in your area.

Can I limit how much my vehicle charges?

Yes. You can limit your vehicle's charging by settings a target charge in the Ford app or your in-vehicle touchscreen. Setting a target charge can help preserve the health of your EV's battery.

For information on the Ford-recommended charge levels for your all-electric vehicle, see our all-electric Ford vehicle charging recommendations.

Can I earn rewards or incentives from my local utility for charging at home?

In some areas, Ford Energy Rewards can connect electric vehicle owners with their local utility companies. You may be able to earn incentives in exchange for flexibility with your charging times.

Ford Energy Rewards es un programa opcional. You can override the charge schedule, if needed, or unenroll from the program entirely.

If you charge your vehicle at home, and you have a participating local utility, you may be able to enroll today
